When is check-in and pick-up?
Overnight camps begin at 5:00pm on Sundays. Day Camps have daily pick-up and drop-off times, which will be listed in their registration for camp. Family Camp start time is TBD. Once you arrive at Solid Rock, you will be directed to the correct drop-off or pick up location for your child. Pick-up for all overnight camps is at 9:00am on Saturday.
What is the information for the bus?
We offer a bus between Anchorage and Camp. You must have a reservation to ride the bus. Bus rides are not available for Day Camps or Family Camp. Price Round-Trip: $70 One-Way: $40 Anchorage Pickup Location: Duluth Trading Company Parking Lot 8931 Old Seward Hwy Suite A Anchorage, AK 99515 Drop off and pick up times​ Please arrive at the bus location between 2:00 – 2:30 PM on the opening Sunday of camp. The bus will return between 1:00 – 1:30 PM on the closing day of camp. To sign up for the bus, you can either login and add the transportation option, or you can call/email the office.
How does the waitlist work?
If a camp is full, there is the option to be put on the waitlist. We want to get every kid a spot at camp, and we will contact you if a spot does become available. The waitlist does not cost anything, so you will not be charged until taken off of the waitlist. We would also love to help you find a spot in another week of camp.
Can my child bring electronics?
Camp is for playing outdoors and making new friends! We do not allow cell phones or other electronic devices such as iPads, iPods, handheld games, or other devices. If you send a device with your child, it will be held in the camp office until checkout. Campers do have access to a phone to call home. Please make sure your child knows the best phone number to use and that it is on their registration so we can help them if needed.
How does store money work? How much should I send?
There is no set amount to bring for the snackshop. If you would like to add snackshop money, we recommend $50 for a week-long camp,

How do I make cabinmate requests?

How likely is it my child will get off the waitlist?Unfortunately, that's not something we can really know. But we want to get every kid a spot at camp, so we will contact you if a spot does open up. We would also love to help you find a spot in another week if possible.

Can I cancel my child's camp?Yes, camp registrations can be cancelled. The deposit is non-refundable, as stated during registration. Please contact the office if you would like to cancel a camp registration.

Why is my registration marked as "Incomplete" on the dashboard or in my email confirmation?This means that the deposit has not been made and a spot has not been secured.

What does a day look like for campers?It totally depends on the camp! With such a wide variety of ages and themes, each camp looks different. The list below offers a general idea of what campers at Lakeside & Wagon Train will experience but we stay flexible based on the camper group and the weather! Please understand that not every activity is offered every day or to every age group. Activities like canoeing, swimming, archery, crafts, and nature hikes. Lakeside also offers mountain boarding, climbing tower, and riflery. Wagon Train has horsemanship lessons each day. Chapel with songs and Bible teaching Rest time/quiet time Cabin Group Bible study Snackshop Group Games Campfire Time Free time where campers can choose what games or activities to engage in, or just play and explore with their friends.

Can my child call home during camp?Yes, they can call home during the week.

How does Snackshop work? How much money should I give my child?Each camper's snackshop money is put on a card that is kept in the camp store. Camper's will have access to the card to spend when the snackshop is open. Unspent funds will be refunded on the closing day of camp if paid for with cash or check. ​ How much you put on your child's card depends on if you want them to be able to purchase camp swag in addition to snacks. We generally recommend between $25 and $50 for a week-long camp.

How do I sign up for the bus?Adding the bus can be done during registration by clicking the "transportation" button during the initial registration, or adding it later on the dashboard. You can also call or email the office, and we can help you get signed up for the bus.

What does the bus look like?On most weeks, we run our mini white bus, but it is possible that we may use a 15 passenger van with a trailer, or even a school bus. The bus will be located in the back of the Duluth Trading Company parking lot.

Wilderness Packing ListThe wilderness can be one of the most enjoyable places to spend your time, but you need to make sure you have the right clothes and equipment to be safe and comfortable. Please look over the list to ensure you bring the proper personal gear. Mandatory Equipment Hiking boots, or hiking shoes, or good/sturdy athletic shoes Tall waterproof boots if going on a canoe trip Mosquito head net if going on a canoe trip 1 pair of socks per day, plus 2 extra pairs 1 extra change of clothes minimum Toothbrush and toothpaste Soap and toiletries Towel Shorts/swimsuits Sleeping bag (any style rated to 35 ºF is sufficient) * Sleeping pad * Pillow (this will be left at the Wilderness Base Camp during the trip) Raingear: waterproof raincoat and waterproof pants (Ponchos not recommended) * Fleece/synthetic sweatshirt/jacket (NOT COTTON) * Stocking cap – for sleeping at night Gloves for cold evenings Water bottle - 1 airtight water bottle (preferable 1 liter) * Sunglasses * Water bottle preferable 1 liter Suggested Equipment Backpack (approx. size 50-65 liters) * Bible Chap Stick Sunscreen Headlamp/flashlight Knife (must be a locking knife) Bug spray/ head net Any other small survival type gear Camera Small binoculars Notepad/paper Snack shop money Hiking poles * We have limited number of these items available for rental.
