Office Support Specialist
Solid Rock Bible Camp provides the youth of Alaska with outdoor experiences to encourage a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We seek to meet campers and guests in the areas of their spiritual needs and to foster a mindfulness of God and an understanding of His love.
The Office Support Specialist directly supports this mission by ensuring that communication, registration, and record-keeping are handled with excellence and care. From the first phone call to camper check-in, this role helps create a welcoming and trustworthy environment where distractions are minimized, and ministry can flourish. By serving both behind the scenes and on the front lines, the Office Support Specialist helps make it possible for campers to hear and respond to the gospel in a safe, well-organized setting.
Position Overview
The Office Support Specialist provides vital support to the ministry by keeping the camp office running smoothly and welcoming. This role combines hospitality with behind-the-scenes organization, ensuring that families, campers, and staff are cared for from first contact through the camp experience.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Hospitality

Answer phones, return voicemails, and respond to emails promptly and warmly.

Process and distribute incoming mail and packages.

Greet and assist visitors, campers, and parents with a friendly, professional presence.
Office Support

Maintain office organization, supplies, general upkeep and cleanliness.

Support office calendars and scheduling.

Assist with various projects and assignments as needed.
Registration & Records

Manage camp registrations and receipts.

Maintain accurate camper records, including transportation, allergies, health info, emergency contacts, and scholarship lists.

Support camper check-in and check-out during camp sessions.
Camp Support

Keep rosters and reports updated throughout camp sessions.

Assist with administrative tasks related to camper care and safety.

Provide additional support to staff as needed during high-capacity weeks.
Qualifications
-
A heart for Christian ministry and a desire to serve campers and families.

Friendly, detail-oriented, and organized.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable using computers, email, and databases (training provided).

Able to manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Commitment

Approximately 20 hours per week, with some flexibility around camp needs.

Starts as an hourly position, with the opportunity to transition into a ministry-supported staff role through fundraising
